What are the symptoms of a bad APPS? The truck recently started shifting really funny. It does not want to go into second until like red line and then does not want to go into overdrive unless i lift off the gas. I got the code the other day for the APPS and i did the APPS reset and It worked like normal for about a day and then out of no where started shifting crazy. The crazy thing is that it does it the worst the first time i start the truck and run through the gears but it never really works the way it did. Any ideas on what this could be? I hope I am not the only one to ever have this problem.

 

Try cleaning all of your battery cables and grounds then reset the apps again.

Some put foil over the cable that crosses in front of the radiator to the right battery. I haven't had to do that.
