Just got my truck the other day. Had it delivered by car carrier. It was on the top of the carrier at the back which put it on a steep angle for 3000 miles or so. It had so little fuel in it that the low fuel light was on. The truck driver tried starting the truck a couple of times to drive it off the trailer with no luck. He finally rolled the truck down and after a couple of times he got it to start.
I noticed dead peadal a few times on the way home but it never happened with the cruise on. It does have P216 code and I was wondering if maybe this code was the result of the no start condition and I have an APPS problem? Just want to make sure before I spend the cash on a new IP. Thanks.

 

try the APPS reset, and clear the code. See what happens, but i see a new IP in your future.

 

P0216 (M) Fuel Injection Pump Timing Failure High fuel supply restriction, low fuel pressure or possible
wrong or incorrectly installed pump keyway.

216 is nick named "the death code".

Maybe check your fuel pressure first to see if the LP is failing first.
Parking on a steep uphill must cause the fuel to drain back. I have the same problem with my truck. I bump the starter twice ('cause once ain't enough) to run the pump and all is fine. Kind of a pain but it works.
