Aftermarket airhorn????? after install??
Well as I was installing the aftermarket airhorn last month I acidently loosened the 2 nuts on top of the heater grid, two washers on there began to turn to powder ( Im assuming they are nonconductive type washers) I went ahead with the install and yesterday temps here dipped to bout 35 degrees. So I get up to go to work and cycle the WTS light and audible pop sound w/smoke under the hood??? wow scary, so I pop the hood and look to find one of the wires from the driver battery to the relay for the heater grid appeares to have shorted because it kind of melted through or popped out of one side of the wire bout 1/8 in long. Truck started up fine and has since, question is what can I do to fix and ensure that it still works. I've been plugging it in for the mean time over night when the temps dip. I am a rock when it comes to diesel but Im learning any help would be great, thanks guys.
