98 ram vibrates at low speed
Hey guys I'm new here I was just wondering if you could offer some help. My 98 ram 4x4 vibrates real bad anywhere from 0-30 and gets better at higher speeds. Ive already replaced my front axle u joints, axle shafts and wheel bearings + ball joints. It seems to be originating from the middle of the truck. The ujoints in the rear driveshaft and front shaft are good. The tranny was rebuilt roughly 10,000 miles ago and runs smooth and correctly. The vibration seems to get twice as bad in 4 wheel drive and 4 low slipped a few times and clunks. All of this seems to point to an internal problem within the transfer case. Any thoughts?
look on pass, side of engine just below oil cooler there is a inspection port loosen bolt rotate cover u have to spin engine by hand to line bolt up tighten bolts . spin until next bolt lines etc, theport is on flange looking toward rear of truck that the trans bolts to hope this helps
