got a 99 dodge 2500 5 sp with 20000 K miles been a little hard to shift some times into 1 st gear and some times . But now 3 rd gear is starting to grind when i try to power shift into 3 rd . If i just take it slow it want do it .

pretty shure im just gona haft to rebuild it soon with new syncs but i wouldent think that it would be going out this soon has any one done this all ready got a idea on price ? just spent all my $ for the new motor .

I'd look at doing the 'Texas Chili Dog', bearings, synchros, seals and the fully splined main shaft for $500.

Only other thing is you need a few special tools to get all apart and back together. I am prob gonna do the same thing, and called a local shop (very good reputation) and said they would rebuild it for $200+ parts.
