I have a 2002 ram, 24v longbed cc 4x4 6 speed. I didnt notice when i bought it that the rear end was changed for an earlier style, with drum brakes and no sway bar. I looked at my friends 95 long bed 4x4 sc ctd, and it looks the same as his. Same cover, same brakes. I needed help indentifieying it. Can anyone point me in the right direction as where to find this info? The emergency brake cable, and brakes and such, but obviously cant order them for a 2002.
I wonder why someone switched it? are there any drawbacks to this year rear end? it has NO sway bar, or overload springs. good? bad?

so what do you want to know? what year it came out of? i swapped axles in my 01 from a 98.

 

what is the difference in rear ends from year to year, im having a hard time finding a timeline of what stuff they put in which years
