2001 Codes & Lift pump
Hi
I have a 2001,5. 5 speed
lost fuel pressure and got a bunch of codes.
Codes I got are
PCU
0122
1693
ECU
1689
382
380
1693
1690
230
Lift pump is a Blue Holley,it was full off Diesel.
truck runs ( have nor driven it without fuel pressure )
Codes came when I was bumbing key to se if lift pump started. can these codes come because of lift pump failure. Or can my VP 44 be gone ?
Truck has 239 000 miles original VP 44. Always run With presure and 2 stroke oil in fuel.

Try going to blue Chips site and going through the diagnostic stuff for the vp44. The 1689 code you have is not a good vp44 code to get.
https://www.bluechipdiesel.com/vp44_...stics.html2001
However 380 and 382 are grid heater codes (intake relay circuit 1 and then 2)
230 is a lift pump code (transfer pump out of range)
122 is a tps code (throttle position sensor low voltage)
the 1690 is a ckp code does not agree with ecm (the 2001 does not have a crank positions sensor it has a cam position sensor only though they do the same thing)
those codes are all over the place so I wouldn't be to fired up to replace the vp just yet. I know when I had my 01 I had all of those codes at one time or another just never all together. I would start with checking all the grounds real good. Clear the codes and see what comes back. I didn't regularly check codes on my truck so sometimes when i did I wouldn't know for sure if they all happened in the latest instance or if one or more was set previously ie actually different issues not related to one another. If the truck is driveable it may take a few warm up and cool down cycles to get them all to clear.
you might also try unhooking the comp box, clear codes see if they come back.
