Cool 2000 dodge cummins steering issues

The truck is steadily getting more and more slack in thesteering wheel and I know these trucks arefamous for having bad steering. What isthe best way to fix this should I just put new factory steering rods in or isthere some aftermarket stuff that is better?

A DSS-or-what is known as a steering brace helps reduce flex in the steering box when turning. When installed, I noticed improved steering response. All other components need to be in good shape also, ball joints, tie rod ends, track bar, properly inflated tires and steering stabilizer. It's a combination of all these items that's gonna improve your steering.

I got 300,000 kms out of my factory front end parts. I went with all Moog because of the lifetime warranty and also added the front steering brace. The Moog parts are all have grease fittings on them.

Not all Moog parts are zerked..you have to order them that way.

The DSS is a nice addition after all the other components are replaced or upgraded. You will want to do a total rebuild, not just one piece at a time or you will never catch up..

Also, do not try to adjust the steering box or you will be out another 400 bucks..
