IF its the non-ic, the core support should be the same...if not a new support is around $190 online...

I don't know how far you would want to travel but I saw this one on the for sale lot on the Air Force Base here the other day. It is in Fort Walton Beach Florida in the panhandle.

It is an 89 D-350 one ton single rear wheel, it said it had a Cummins remanufactered engine installed and the transmission rebuilt about 70,000 miles ago. It is a plain jane truck with the plain interior but is rust free with only a small spot of paint peel on the passenger door. It was used to tow a fifth wheel trailer and had an extra fuel tank in the bed. It is a 5 speed with air conditioning. The tires were in great shape. He is asking $4100.00 for it. Just thought I would let you know in case you will be in the market for another one. It is about 25 miles from me and I can go check it out if you need me to.

rlyons- If I had the money.......

hmknight- Glad to see you're not hurt. If the frame isnt bent, you should be able to rebuild it pretty easily (relatively, anyway).
Now, how achy and sore would you have been had you been in say, a Chevy cavalier, or a VW? would you have walked away? There is something to be said for sheer mass when hitting a blunt, immobile object. Kinda like the one time I ran a Ford 4wd (Has an N14 in it) tracor off a crown along the edge of a field (road turned left and I was watching the fire to the right) and didnt hardly miss a beat, save pulling the pull pin and hydraulic hoses from the disc off the back end.

Rylons, that looks like a better version of my truck when I originally bought it. The white truck in my gallery is what I originally had.

If the 89 core support is the same, what's different about the 91-93 core supports?

Also, my radiator is hosed so would this be a good opportunity to upgrade to a better radiator? Anyone have part numbers? Mainer has one from an 89 lined up for me already so I may just go with that.

Looks like my frame is twisted just a hair where the bumper mounts are. Probably from the part where I spun around the first tree to hit the second and third on the passenger side. I think it should straighten out okay.

The more I look at the truck, the more I laugh because the situation is just totally unreal. For now I'm driving around in a TDI Jetta... it's just not the same!

Thanks for all the support guys, I just don't want to let this truck go.

'91-'93 core support allowed for the innercooler.

Glad you came out of it OK.

that looks like a pretty decent deck too, ....mine came with a deck and after three years with it I wouldn't switch for a box. I can put racks around using stake holes I had cut to accept 2X4 stakes allowing me to carry double the volume a box could. Here's hoping you like what you find with the nose off! I have duallies and find the back end REALLY poor in snow and slippery surfaces. Are you in that blast going through New England?

I meant 91-93 gas vs 91-93 diesel core supports.

I know of a 91 gas core support in a local junkyard, and would like to grab that if I can adapt it to make it work with the diesel engine.

Also, when I hit the motor died. Haven't had a chance to look at the truck yet, any guesses to start us off?

That's too bad. I spun mine on the highway 4 months after buying it. A fair bit of damage then.

Also I put mine in the ditch a couple of weeks ago. Roads were icy and rear end just spun out. Almost got it back then it went the other way then back, finally going down the highway backwards I pinned the brakes and went in backwards. Didn't hurt anything, thankfully. Got pulled out and drove another 1500 km.s home.

These things can take a beating.
