Wrecked My Truck

Got caught in a heck of a storm today, iced the roads and wrecked my truck going around a bend. Sad day. The truck's totalled. Now I have to start saving up for a new 1st gen.

Probably going to list the parts here in the classifieds...

Pictures are here:

Glad you're ok! You'll find another one, and atleast this one will be an organ donor for other first gens.

Hey,

You have to view the glass as half full, not half empty. It sounds like you walked away from the wreck. Be thankful for that, also why not save the good parts and put them into your next truck instead of putting them in the classifields?

Very sorry for your loss, but glad you are OK. Snowing pretty bad here, too. Just plowed for the 4th time since 6 AM

Sorry about your truck.

Is the pic in your galley of the D250 frame the same truck? If it is, I'm sure you are really down after all the work you put into it.

These trucks are pretty wicked in slippery weather, can you say nose heavy? I hope you're OK and no one else besides your truck got hurt.

Yeah, that was my project last summer, went from about April - October or so. It was an absolutely cherry body I put on it, off of the D-100 in my gallery.

The more we look at the truck, the more I want to fix it. I've already located an 89 gas job with a mint body that I'm probably going to purchase. The frame doesnt even seem bent, but it's just too soon to tell. I'll probably pull off the nose tomorrow and get a look at it.

Can I adapt a radiator support off a truck with a 360 to fit in my truck? The radiator support is junk obviously so I'm just trying to look at my options here. What are the differences between the two, diesel and gas supports?

Thanks guys. I'm gonna lay around with my aches for the night. Then it's off to work tomorrow...still trying to line up another ride to get me there.

Good to Be Alive

Glad you are still walking.
Listen to yourself; already planning to rebuild.
How many times you get knocked down doesn't count; it's how many times you get back up that matters

I *think* a gasser core support is the same on the non IC trucks...the radiator sure isn't much bigger[rolleyes] If it gets above 4* today, I'll measure the core on my gasser and my diesel to see.
