I'm not going to argue with you, I was a Dodge tech from 1975 to 2008, there is nothing about that harness that doesn't look factory to me and it's most certainly not a Painless harness. Keep in mind this is before vehicles were assembled by robots and tags like these were put there for the assembly line workers, not the techs that would work on them later so they were never meant to last long.

That other connector looks to be for the O/D module. Again the gas trucks would have had this.

I can attest to Dodge under dash oddities. I was into my dash this last week and there are labels on the connectors going to the OD lockout and the cargo lamp. Not to mention, there is an idiot light without a bulb that says "gate open" next to the left turn signal. So either someone swapped in a Ram Charger gauge cluster or Dodge just reused the same one in both the truck and the RC.

I'm sure the same cluster was used in both. I've seen wait to start lights in clusters of vehicles that aren't even sold with a diesel in this country.

That is a factory label, in 90 the main dash harness was same whether it was diesel or gas, manual or automatic.

mine has the gate open on the cluster too .I always wondered about that . Speaking of cluster my odometer just quit, kind of surprising because it's only at 96K but I guess it's old lol .
