Widest Tires on a Dually

What's the biggest set on a DRW that doesn't rub sidewalls? Thanks

I wouldn't go bigger than 235/85's.

I think anything bigger than 235's will rub when loaded on stock 1st gen dually wheels. I was noticing my 225's are pretty close. I'm going to 235's just to get the speedometer right.

Thanks for the tips. I am gonna get a new set of Courser C/T's. It's kind of an aggressive tire so I wanted as much of it as I could.

I have 245/75 and driving down the road the are fine. I did notice the slightly touch with a trailer and about 7K lbs. I tried 265's awhile back just to see what they were like, they touch with no trailer but looked cool.

I would recommend 235/85's like these guys said though. They seemed to work the best on my truck atleast.

just add some fender flares and run them now

But I agree with the 235's.

What about looking for some 19.5" rims of an old chip or bread truck, they have a few inches of clearance, then you could but some wide mean tires on.

get a pair of 2" wide billet aluminum wheelspacers and you can run wide tires on the rear, but the widest tire that will mount on the 6" wide wheel is probably a 285

I am running 245/75 on my 93 dually and they do rub a bit when i had 18,000 lbs on the gooseneck. When i get my new ones i will go with some 235/85 agian. I had them on my last set of wheels and liked them better than the 245's.

2nd gen dually rims have a larger offset than 1st gen rims. not really apples to apples in this case.
