Hey Augie, it's nice to be missed . Reports of my arrest for breaking the bank at a Mexican cathouse are overblown and fake news!! (they were beating me for wearing out all the cats ). I am unfortunately up to my ears in a repaint of the casa. It's not that simple because I live in a historical home and I have to repoint the brick and repair the stucco and various cracks before I can even think about putting on any paint. It has been raining like heck around here and this with the 105 degrees, 70 degree dew point and a hot dog, (hound dog that is) has not helped the progress too much. But don't worry, it's a dry humidity...Mark

Painting!! A house?!! That's not what you're suppose to be doing as a retiree!!

Guess you gotta keep yourself busy. Only so many things you can do to a Dodge truck, lol.
Is this the same casa that you re did all the plumbing on?

Yeah, that would be the same. I am going to ask for my money back, imagine a house only lasting 92 years, what a cheap pile . Everyone just loves old houses, but there is a cost. Heck, I cook on a Garland gas stove that was made in 1911 ...Mark

Curious if you've had to repair any dry rot damage, leaky roofs, and what not. What about termites?

There is not too much dry rot, but the termites got to my red oak hardwood floors a bit, that repair is on the very long list of things to do. I had a foam, mesh and elastomeric roof installed in 2003 and I give it a new coat of elastomeric every 5 years, should last as long as I do. It is a continuous project...Mark

Uh oh! Maybe I need to post up another tread, but where is TCows?! Haven't heard from him in a few weeks.

Maybe he's knee deep into his truck, as he found out what was causing the noise.

Is that that white, mop on product I see that Home Depot carries? I need to coat my trailer roof, as it has developed leaks. Would that work? If so, is the prep work easy?

I ask, cause my wife's gonna have to do the prep, and apply the product.

Yeah,it's the white stuff that cost more the longer it's made to last, like 5 years or 10 years. I am not sure about application on metal, ask them before you buy. It is easiest to put it on with a roofing brush than a roller. As long as the coating is intact on my roof, the foam under it should last for many years...Mark

You misunderstood, but yes, by your description it should work for my application. Was talking about my RV trailer. The factory white roof is starting to leak around the rubber flashings, so I want to buy it, and my wife can apply it, LOL.

wifey, I don't care if it's a 110 out...get back to work!
