Where to Buy Brake/Tranny Line Fittings?

This is gonna seem like a stupid question, but where do I get fittings for brake lines and tranny lines? The lines on the tranny cooler are the same thing, as brake lines, aren't they? I have never had to buy fittings as the OEM ones I bought always had fittings on them.

Carquest normally sells brake line in bulk rolls and fittings. Also check NAPA. I believe both sell the required double flaring tool.

The trans lines are 1/2 OD tubing, I believe 1/2 fuel line might be more along the lines of what your looking for. The fitting that hooks to the transmission is your normal double flare just like brake line. The oil cooler has 1/2" pipe thread going into it and 1/2" pipe to a -8 flare type fitting I don't know if its 37* JIC or a 45* SAE, but its one of those.

Alot of my repairs have been to splice 1/2" push loc hose and fittings onto the good section of orginal trans line.
I get alot of my fittings from this outfit.

BTW, its going to take a good stout flare tool and a little grunting to flare 1/2 steel tubing.
