Yes. Larger lug nuts (wider taper) would be a good idea because the studs are bigger on a 2nd gen.

Heck what ya talkin bout?? The wheels and tires in your pics look just fine. I say spend that big money on something else. Mods to engine, trans, clutch, D80 etc....

16.5" tires are very hard to find. I don't blame him for wanting to go back to 16" wheels.

I wanted to use them too but they dont work on my 89 W350. Sure the lug pattern is the same but they won't clear the front brake caliper with out grinding and then if your get that far I have doubts that they will clear the tie rod end. There is more backspace on 2nd gen.

I did the same thing last fall Fear.I needed hunting tires and the 16.5 choices are real slim these day's. so I went with aluminium 16's and 35 inch mud tires.I'm not sure about 2nd gen's on our truck's but ours wont fit a 2nd gen.

Earlier Ford wheels 16" should fit and are way stouter made than Chrysler wheels.

16.5 tires went out with dinosaurs and honest cops, very rare.

I have 2nd gen wheels on my truck and they work great. The caps won't fit though. I just got some chrome acorn nuts. As stated the 1st gens have 1/2" wheel studs and the 2nd gen has 9/16" wheel studs so make sure that you have a wide taper on the nuts.
