What is wrong with my setup?

I took my truck to the track and it has slowed up 4 tenths after dumping a lot of money in it. I have checked and re checked everything and I must be missing something. My old setup was the same as what's in my sig but I had a stock turbo with a 12cm housing, a stock manifold, stock intercooler and tubes and a stock head. My fuel filters are new and it is mai taining fuel pressure. I have been racking my brain and I can't figure what is wrong. I do have some traction issues but I don't think that is the entire problem.

Do you think all that room you freed up with porting, intercooler tubes and such is causing slower spool thus giving you a slower time?

I really have no idea I had a mild port job on the exhaust side only.

Smoke that's possable due to more volume to fill in the exhaust ports

I think your turbo may be spooling slower by just a bit. You went bigger turbo with bigger exhaust housing and ported your exhaust as well as cooler tubes. You probably have more top end power it just takes a little longer to get it up and going.

Where does it look like you were slower? Just on take off, 60', 100' or just all together slower?

Did you ever jump a tooth for timing?

It was mostly slower on the bottom I did gain 10 mph on the top. I was either under the turbo or spinning the tires there was no middle ground out of the hole. I did not junp a tooth but the timing is basically to the head now. I was thinking about the timing spacer..

Traction, traction, traction!!!!!
I bet your 60 ft times were off a lot farther than your overall.

That's what i am thinking. especially if the new turbo hits harder. If i lug my truck even in 4th once my turbo lights it will try to spin.

The new turbo dont really hit all that hard. I was thi ki g about jumpi g a tooth but I did t want to lose any more on tbe bottom. Mkre timing only helps top end power and the ve likes to make power down low. I was thinking timing spacer that way I could gain the timing I need but keep the bottom end power. Is my thinking wrong?

If you could post times slips side by side it would tell a big story. I have drag raced my whole life and those times at each foot mark help tremendously..

I don't think bottom end power is the answer to this problem. I think traction is the answer. If you gained 10mph on the top end but had traction problems at the start then the power is there.

I also don't think the timing spacer is the answer to your problem. From all the reading I've done it really only works best when the pump is set to stock timing. I don't think it's going to get you to where you need to be.
