4.10's with 37's is like having a 3.30 ratio and stock tires

I have 4.10's and stock 235/85 tires on my '92. I can 't tell you what it does on the highway because it's not road worthy yet. I can tell you that my my driveway circles my house (not a big circle either) and the other night I hit 3rd gear driving around the driveway. With that in mind: I would bet that my truck would be SCREAMING its guts out trying for 80mph. I had a 1995 CTD truck that had a 47re in it and 3.54 gears. It hit the governor at 92mph with 265/75 tires on it.

My white crew cab has 4.10 gearing and 37 tires to make the highway speeds better.
I can bury the speedo at will.
With stock tires 80 MPH wouldn't be a very good MPG speed.

Good luck with that.

It actually helped my mileage lifting my truck and throwing the big 37s under it.
I get 19.5 MPG with it set up like that!

I have been looking at tires and wheels off and on. I screwed up a couple weeks ago and missed a super nice set of aluminum explorer wheels foe $100 for the set.
