What to do first?????

Hello all, new here and fairly new to the CTD, but have been around them for awhile. I just bought a 92 W250 reg cab. Bone stock. My first ever diesel. Looking to do a few things but not sure what to do first. I have done a lot of reading on this forum but need a direction. I have already purchase the 3200 rpm gov spring, and was looking at a M&H fuel pin. I need to know maybe what I should do first? The Gov spring, the fuel pin, air intake, 4" turbo back, anything with the pump, ect. Generally when you start doing this stuff, something will limit you, so I figure there is no point in tweaking it all and keeping the 3" exhaust, just as an example. I guess I am looking for the best order of what to do things in, for the most out of each mod. Also which M&H pin should I get? M2 or M3 ? I do mostly daily driving and some towing. It's not a race truck.............yet anyways, lol. Thanks in advance for all the advice.

Gauges 1st then turn up pump then fuel pin /gov spring then exhaust then turbo then injector then water meth then clutch (if manual)then tranny then then rear end then p pump then cam then twins then bigger injector again then second job to buy more parts (sec. job optional) nitrous then and then and then there is no cure for the BOMB BUG!!!!

PS welcome to DTR

Just do them all at once, make sure you have the gauges in though and get some before-mods numbers

oh you'll be addicted! and it will be a fun daily driver! get some gauges, straight pipe it, and turn up the pump and you will be happy for a while, then its bigger turbo an 4" exhaust, then injectors.

Is it an auto or manual?

Good to know. Thanks guys. By the way.....no bomb bug for me thanks, lol. The truck is an auto with o/d and when it starts to fail I plan on having it upgraded and I'll do a converter also. What all gauges should I be looking for? Pyro, Boost, Trans Temp, Water Temp, Oil Pressure, Fuel Pressure.....In no peticular order........Also I don't for see any turbo mods yet. So I would stop before that point.....for now, anyways

pyro, boost and fuel pess. probably are the most important ones. with auto tranny and if you tow, then trans temp would be advisable

pump adjustments are "free" and will increase power with tweaking iterations.

fuel pin and gov spring are both inexpensive mods that bring more fuel and "delay" defueling.

a little more air is good too, and aftermarket air filter elements are not too pricey; you can mod your airbox if need be.

for most of these basic mods, check the sticky first and then do specific searches by keyword in the body of messages. there are tons of experience shared in there.

Thanks again. I had read the sticky, and had a good idea of what to do. I just needed to know what to do first. Want to get my ducks all in a row, rather than working backwards. Thanks for the info guys. Any thoughts on the M&H fuel pin? M2 or M3 for daily driving and towing?

I don't have one so I can't say. But what I can say is that the most important thing is your right foot. You can make or break your truck with it! !! Well, that and the thing that controls your right foot, your swede/meat pie/head etc.etc.
There are some guys on here that have that fuel pin, but most have a Denny T pin. Just do a search and read what folks have to say about them.
