Finally had a little "extra money" and bought some Timbrens to try out.
Also got some radiator stop leak. I'm going to try and isolate my heater core and cycle that stuff through it, then hook the system back up. I had replacement on my list before winter but that hasn't happened as it seems like a big job. So, as usual for me, I'm taking the time to "fix it" without taking the time to do it right...

I think it not only needs to hot, but it has to be under regular coolant system pressure to help get the stop leak into the failing areas properly.
My heater I disconnected the lines and back flowed it, forwarded it back and forth with a garden hose until it was clean. It was plugged before it sat for 10+ years.
got a set of u joints. no idea on their history. if only i could remember to use use the rockauto discount code!
In recent months I've had a lot of trouble using the Rockauto discount codes, most of the time they just don't seem to work. I usually have to do a general internet search for the most recent discount code and even then it's hit miss, one place I have had pretty good sucess is the Rockauto page(?) on reddit...I'm not signed up on reddit but can get the code by searching "Reddit, Rockauto discount code"
Motor just rolled over 475K Km's the other day, did a full oil change to my winter oil (Rotella T6 5W40) and Baldwin BT339 oil filter, also a new air filter...dropped the ball on that one, it had been 4 year and almost 70K km's since I changed it! Also a new 5/16 inline pre-lift pump filter.
