What did you do to your Gen 1 today?
285/75? I recovered it yesterday after loading a "good" tire my jack and a borrowed dewalt impact in my wifes car. A little sketchy driving home with a stock 235/85 "spare" on with 245/65s on the other 3 corners. I went slow and thankfully not far that way, will probably throw another 235/85 on the other side of the rear axle to drive to the tire shop for replacements.
Yes I am pretty sure it a 75 as the middle #. 285/75R16s are offered in 10 ply E rated in a lot of popular make rubbers. They are my go to tire size for stock height 1st and 2nd gen 4x4 3/4 tons.
Helping to drop the RPMs a bit is a real added bonus in the low revving Cummins trucks.
Yes from Ruffstuf Specialties.. Had to remake the brake lines from the "T" on top of the axle to connect, and order custom parking brake cables which I am waiting for but the brackets, calipers, pads and flexible brake lines all came in the kit and installed fairly straightforward.
Finally hauled off last fall's calf crop. Spring floods have me behind on everything. Not sure what the combined weight is yet (new to me gooseneck trailer & will get the sales ticket later) but it was heavy, I'm guessing over 10K. Truck ran hot up the hills so I'll have to see what's up with that. I have a double deep trans pan but it doesn't help much sitting in the box it came in.
Oh, and thanks to a momma cow the truck has a new battle scar. 1,400lb cow tried to fit through the 1' gap between a gate post and my truck bed

Got the new tires mounted and installed yesterday. As I was backing in the mechanic heard a clunking in the rear end. Thankfully it turns out my U-Joint needs replaced. So I am probably gonna take it back to them next week to install new one(s) as I doubt I'll get to it and im towing the camper next weekend.
Towed my camper over the weekend, Truck did quite good considering stock pump/fuel. It did run warmer then I am used to typically seeing. It was creeping past the center section and toward the "H" during a few long climbs.
