I assumed that since they were labeled they had already been on there.

I just ordered some dimpled and slotted, made in USA, lifetime warranty ones. We'll see how they do...

Nice work Tman. I you ever get yours all done, I have a few you can work on.

Where did you source those rotors? Seems these days the load on the trailer is getting heavier and my brakes are just not as good as they once were.

Going Hydroboost is like uprading your brakes with no other changes....

Amazon
Amazon Amazon

Seem like really good units. Did the calipers, hoses, tube lines on the axle, rotors, pads, studs, and inner bearing seals. cleaning and repacking the hubs.

Brakes work, but seem a little squishy, so a re bleed is in order, as well as readjusting the rears.

Tired. Arthritis pain in both hands all day didn't help.

You are correct, I went back and looked and it actually says "machined & finished in the USA"...

I found an article online that said that there are no USA made brake rotors anymore. China, Germany, Italy, but not, here

Sad..

Tman,

Is that a glowshift 3 in 1 gauge I see on your truck? Curious how you like it as I know members here and elsewhere recommend against them.

Yes it is.

The gauge is okay, and works fine. Nice colors, and seems accurate. You can change the color of the gauge if you want, simply by pressing a button

Things I don't like?

The gauge is too bright at night, even with it auto dimming when the running lights are activated.

The inner gauges are too dim. Hard to read in daylight, especially if you turn on your lights .

Buy it again? Most likely not, as I would look for something more user friendly

So I have heard.

Is there an "off the shelf" kit or list of components?

I like custom trucks and hate the unavailability of custom components, especially in a system with multiple wear components like power steering and brakes.

LOL , I remember when I "Jim Laned" my dashboard. Almost have to wear sunglasses at night. Those dim-able LEDs is more like on or off. not much in between.

Got the truck back from the shop. Been backing out the fuel screw 1/2 turn at a shot to try to get rid of the smoke from the new injectors and cam. Finished modifying a brace to hold up the spare tire lift and got it painted. Should be able to mount it up in the next few days, then I'll have a place for a spare tire.... which means I have to get one of the proper dimensions. Sigh one thing leads to another.
