Berta,
First, welcome to this mess.
Secondly, WOW.
That is quite an undertaking! I love my Crew Conversion, but you.......you may have a slight affliction, or addiction, or are just really motivated to fix an awesome truck. Nice work!

Wife and I were driving around today, just to get her away from the house and life in general, and about an hour from home I stumbled across this on a old farm back road up in central western NJ. It's a 1993, D350, AUTO with 162,000 miles on it. I decided to stop and see how much the guy wanted for it.
Turns out the fella is a mason / excavation contractor that used it to haul around dirt, and other excavation materials for jobs. He said he owned it about 10 years now, and since he just turned 80 years young, his wife passed, I guess it's time to retire and get rid of some of the toys he has lying around. Said it runs good, had new brakes, including E brake cables installed (true), and it had been painted a few years ago, along with a new dump body he needed, as the original body had failed. Truck appears to be in good shape. I didn't see any rot anywhere, and the frame looked nearly new at the back half. Didn't crawl around under it, but again, seems to be in good shape. I guess you can call him if you want as I told him I would list it for him on DTR's site.
Like any old fella he thinks it's worth a lot, so price ? He said he was going to ask $10k considering it's in good shape, and the dump body cost him a ton to have replaced, some 2 to 3 years ago. Price is negotiable.
Grille is cracked. Tires look almost new. Again, brakes were done (at least I see is new cables). Dump body a couple years old.
I don't know the man. I think we spoke about 15 minutes or so, as he showed me the truck, and he has another 1989 W250 that is on the property as well. His son decided to "drive it though a flood". DUH ! Water sucked up into the turbo, and blew up the engine. It is, however a manual transmission in it, and I'm sure it's valuable all on it's own. I didn't delve into either truck. I just looked really quick, and took a few shots. Told him I'd post pics here in our classified section.
His name is Bob and you can catch his information in the separate ad I'll be listing for him shortly.

Looks to be unmolested, although the injector pump might have been replaced from the original, as it looks cleaner than it should. Maybe recalled ?
First thing I'd do is rip out that carpet and see the floors. but that's just me.

Blown motor so he says
Pretty rusty. Went trough a 3' deep flood.
Maybe a good parts truck ?
Here's Bob's 1989 W250. Blown Motor. Manual trans. 4x4. Drove through a flood, so might have some big issues underneath.

I want a pair of those outrageous tripod type towing mirrors like what's on that dumper. I rarely ever tow anything but I just think it would be a neat looking spot to mount my C.B. antenna.

That is where the CB Antenna is mounted on my truck. They also make nice armrests when rolling with the windows down.

Pulled Patches into the shop for a greasing and fix a couple lights that burnt out. While crawling around under the truck I noticed a couple repairs that are going to be needed....Drivers rear hub inner seal is toast and leaking gear oil all over the place also the E-brake cable seems to be loose not aligned properly anymore...clip came off? So gonna need new seals and brake shoes of the rear, also another set of rear E-brake cables.....just did those two years ago.
Also for the last month or so while still using the 4wd this winter I noticed a vibration, well turns out two of the three U-joints in my Cardin-joint off the TC have one cup that was not getting grease, even though I greased it a couple times over winter and these were Spicer joints too. Not sure if some old grease dried up and got lodged and was not allowing fresh grease to get to those cups or what, but 5 years and it's toast seems a little short to me.

Tore the front brakes apart this weekend, replaced the rotors, upgraded the studs to 9/16, mounted up a Blue Top steering box and steering brace. Scrubbed out the hubs, knocked the rust off and hit them with black rust reformer. started putting things back together and found one of the lock out hubs is cracked and crumbling right next to the gasket and was starting to let water in. Time to order up a new set unless someone out there has a spare OEM one sitting on their shelf collecting dust that they don't mind letting go of?

Tore apart the front hubs on the truck last night since I burn through inner seals about once a year, sure enough the pass side was totally gone and the drivers side was bad but still in one piece, the grease was getting black and even a small amount of gray from water contamination. Did a complete cleaning and re greasing of everything with new inner seals, tried the National 415009 this time, and even tore the 4wd locking hubs down to clean and re-lube. Should be good for another year.
