I just got done charging the battery in my truck. The radio always runs it down because I don't get to drive it enough. Last night I went to Walgreens and it didn't want to start after sitting for 5 minutes or so with the parking lights on. I think the solenoid contacts in the starter are bad because it cranks fine once it makes contact. I have a new set just lack the ambition to install them.

How old is the battery?

It's about 2 years old. It's the incorrect size for the truck but when I bought it the parts ape said it was correct and I wasn't up to arguing. I'm hoping it will finally die so I can justify getting the right battery. It's about 3 inches shorter than the battery tray.

I did the J hook wiper conversion on mine yesterday using 93 ford F150 wiper arms. I had to tweek them a little so they would put more pressure on the wiper. So far they seem to work ok, but
#1 the arms ride farther out from the windshield than the stock arms did, not sure if I like the look
#2 the drivers side sets perfect but on the pass. side the wiper in the full up position rubs the seal, so they are just a little longer
The next set I do I will just go to my local pick and pull and get a set I can cut the J hook off to weld to my stock arms.

For you folks who followed along with me recently, I don't think I need to explain anything here.

Yeah. I had to have my neighbor drive his mini bulldozer over through the trail system that connects our properties last Friday.
He broke the snow that slid off the shop roof up into small enough blade fulls that the old 1st gen could then push off into the wood line. It was super packed, wet, heavy snow. The pile was over 4 FT high in the center, 20 wide out from the building and spanned most of the 80 Ft of the building length. The bull dozer made easy work of it.
Note the beer can in the snow pile I put there for reference. After I saw the mess, I wanted a cold beer as I brainstormed ideas on how to fix the problem. I quickly decided that shoveling it was the last option I wanted.
It dumped snow up here for the second half of November. So far Dec. has been more normal for snowfall.
I must have had the old fist gen out to plow snow 7 or 8 times already this season.

I have had Sno-Ball out once to clear about 3-4" of snow....that's it so far this winter. Brought Sno-ball into the shop last night to replace the drivers power window switch, broke over a year ago just after I replaced the power window motor and just didn't feel like going back in. Also pulled the HVAC blower motor to put a new motor on it since it seems very weak and pulling a lot of amps.....melted the connector at the switch on low! Really should do Jim's relay for the blower.
