what is causing this

so the other day i get in the truck, its about 50 degress outside and when i start it its making an awful nocking noise, so i give it some throttle and it revs slowly and smokes alot, but after about 2 seconds of revving the noise stops and i let off and it idles smooth as can be.

could this be air getting to an injector, or perhaps just an injector not wanting to fire (mine are made in brazil ) or just an angry IP?

Could be air in an injector line which means you probably have a loose nut on a fitting. Could be a little water in the fuel, drain the filter and catch what comes out to be sure. Could be a dirty fuel filter.

Sounds to me like you are getting air in it.
