Weird Wiper gremlin

Ok, as of yesterday every once in a while the wipers will make one pass. Hasn't rained here in weeks. Doesn't seem to correlate with bumps in the road. The truck is in new condition. Have had dozens of Dodges and NEVER this. Did a search here with no results. Any one else ever experience this? What was it?

Im going with the " park " position is frigged. It is thinking the wipers have not returned to park position so it cycles the motor and then it reads park and stops.

A high power CB will cause the same problem.

It doesn't matter if its in your truck or one close by.

One of the bugs on my 90 D350 project truck I'm still trying to work out. Never had a 1st gen do this before either. I haven't investigated yet but I'm leaning toward a bad park position in the motor assembly as somebody else previously stated. Why I think this, is because if I turn the wipers on and off again, they rarely come back to the same park position twice. They have parked as high as 3" above the gasket and so low that they were on top of the windshield gasket. Since I haven't attampted a repair yet I can't say for sure.

a lot of RF can do really strange things. I have about 800 watts in my Dodge and it affects nothing, but I can put the same set up in my Peterbilt, key up, and the speedometer needle goes all the way around to the back side of the pin, and the odometer adds on miles as if I were doing 100 mph. And that is when Im sitting still.

My kicker would turn on the wipers, kill the factory radio, make the gages do weird dances and so on. That was with a little 100 watt kicker.

I have had semi's pass and key up and the wipers would cycle once or twice.

No CB's around here much anymore. Good cell phones I guess.

When I was a kid, I had a base station and did the cb thing for awhile. Wish I had the internet back then I would have known what I do now, and never would have gotten rid of my first CTD. CB wasn't very informative, just fun.

A guy used to go up the hill to talk on sideband long range. He had to be pushing major wattage because as he passed our house he would open the garage door! I know what you mean with the RF thing.

I wasn't near anything with much RF and it happened in a bunch of places along my commute. I noticed my wipers are sitting higher on the windshield when parked but figured the window was dry and they drag to get back to park.

I'll swap the timer/relay and check some connections. If need be i'll swap the motor. Stay tuned.
