What a waste of money..

You could hear, long before the explosion, that something wasn't right. There was a distinct change in sounds, or tones before that thing went sour.


Pretty dumb not to shut it down if they actually had the ability to. Maybe it was a runaway situation, eh ?

Yeah I think you can hear when they tried to shut it down. It was clearly in runaway. Look at the exhaust pipe bulge near the end....it was pushing some serious air through that turbo!

Sounds like it was getting ready to seize just before it Grenaded. I would say that was a pretty expensive back to the drawing board.

It sounded like they were spooling it up, then applied load. (exhaust bulging) The dyno's load was dragging the motor down, then it ate it. (just my uneducated opinion) I do agree that something didn't sound right before the head studs took a vacation, but it's easy to be a replay quarterback...

Must have been some serious cylinder pressure to launch that head like that!
