Very Light haze at idle,

After installing my new pump and 40 horse injectors from low budget diesel, the truck is a tad hazy at idle. Should i be worried? the truck spins like a top and has had more power than it ever did before. Cruising down the highway and even when i romp on it, there's nothing to be seen... Is this normal for these injectors?

Back off your smoke screw and see if that helps.

It's the injectors.

did you put new copper washers under the injectors? if so, were they like .060" thick? they might be a tad thick and cause a little haze.

Not sure how thick the washers were, they were thinner than stock.my pump is stock aswell. Its doesn't bother me the truck runs great. I just wanted to make sure I'm ok

Did Nick suggest running thinner washers to seat the injector deeper into the piston bowl? This may have only been a suggestion to me since I have the larger piston bowls being non i/c. With the 145* spray angle and non i/c pistons, he said they've found that doing so creates a better burn of the fuel. If I'm thinking correctly tonight, I would think your motor would benefit some by doing the same.

Nick sent me the thinner washers, and the thick washers with the sleeves, I used the thinner washers since my stock washers were flat and had no sleeve.

Ok, you've got an i/c, 7mm head. The sleeve/adapter is only for use in a 9mm, non i/c head since 9mm injector nozzles are no longer made. I think he sends washers and sleeves/adapters just in case.

This morning I fired the truck up, it started right away, but it idled rough and smoked quite a bit. After it warmed up it ran great and didn't skip a beat. Im thinking air is getting in probably on the return side?
