The verdict is in!!!

Well i dont know how many of you remember a couple of weeks ago my Flex plate broke. My brand new flexplate that is. Well it turns out that when the Dodge dealer did the job in the first place thay failed to realise there were soma alignment dowels that were MIA and did not put them in. Long story short the trans/engine came a few thousandths out of alignment and BAM ther goes the Flexplate. The dowel pins are on order from god knows where and they are waiting on them. I think its great that they found the problem but kind of scary that they would miss something like this. Atleast they are holding up their end of the bargain and repairng free of charge. SO they are replacing the FP, the Adapter plate, and these dowel pins. They actually said they had to re do all the work they did before. They also rebuilt the OD unit. I doubt they will rebuild it again but hey who knows.

I've actually compared the 2 side by side, they are the same thickness within a couple thousands by a caliper, but the 2nd gen is shot peened so it should reduce the stress concentration factors which should keep it from cracking as easily. If you think about it it really can't be any thicker and still work.
