My friend busted the vent window out of his 93 last night cause he locked the keys in it. I have another friend that had some early 80's doors laying around so I went to get a vent window and they were different. The 93 style has 2 screws and the latch the ones on the earlier trucks only had 1 screw and the latch. Does anyone know what year they changed?

 

I believe 92 was the first year... if your buddy has the whole wing window assy, just switch them out. Both sides if he wants them to match.

I have a 90 and a 91 that are the same as the 93 but I am just curious. It had ti change in the 80's sometime.

 

It might have been in the late 80s couse the ones between my 88 and the old 93 were the same from what i could tell

Y bust it? a "hose remover" tool is PERFECT for breaking into the corner vent. A screw driver can be used but won't push the button down for you. AAA experience

 

There isn't a car I can't get into in under a minute he busted it cause he is a moron. I would have oipened it but he didn't call till he busted the window out.

 

Heck I used to use one of the metal "S" hooks from a rubber bungie chord...little bending and straightening and it works like a champ....
