Ve pumps 2021
I was curious on current suggestions on parts.
Im stock plus a fuel pin and govenor spring. I'm seeing a timing spacer , longer adjustment screw and looks like a different seat for the stop solenoid. Anyone here using these? I don't use any of the stuff you listed other than the parts you have already installed.

I agree at first everybody seemed to like that spacer, but I heard more and more people having problems with it.
I just stick with a minor 1/8 inch timing bump on most of my trucks. |
For an IC truck, I'd consider the longer power screw.
Currently have more fuel than air anyway... gotta look at swapping my HX35 to a HE351CW, |
Thanks on the timing spacer note. I didn't realize there were issues with the spacer.
Hungry diesel sells the longer screw and were the only place that specified they have a bosch kit. They have a longer rod which supposedly works with the fuel pin. A little longer for better support. I see these brass shutoff solenoid pieces now. Italian ones which are Viton instead of nitrile nbr rubber. Is the failure have to do something with the fuel screw being turned up? Thank you list! M |
I just got a brass solenoid plunger from THD. Decent Garage on youtube I think recommended them. I thought I would give it a whirl. My stock one is failing.

Did you guys see hungry diesel has a pin which is longer. I think it gives it more support.

- With respect to everyone, it is my opinion that most folks having problems with the timing-spacer don't fully understand what it does and refuse to read and follow the included instruction.
- Proceed with caution regarding that brass-tipped FSS plunger. It does not have the vent-holes like the original. (This is ignoring the quality of the finish). I suggest you look into that offered by The Hungry Diesel. Superior construction with a performance enhancing profile. - Regarding the longer main fuel-screws: The are currently two different longer screws available. One is longer on the external-end and is simply handy to access. The other is longer on the internal-end and allows actually turning up the fuel more than the stock/OEM article. |

I'm undecided on the brass tip. I don't want unreliable mods... but don't want to replace the solidiods all the time. I'm going to do the longer tipped fuel screw and reseal. I was thinking of using the Viton tipped plunger. I think the original bosch one was fine till ulsd and biodiesel happened. not understand what you mean about instructions. Mine is an intercoolered truck.. I'm thinking mild mod is better than wild.. M |

I`m glad I ran across this thread because my FSS just messed up this morning . I was wondering if I really need the brass pin or can I just get away with an oem bosch . Did the VE pump ever come stock with a brass pin ? .I`m running the Ford 6.0 lift pump and regulating the PSI down to 12 with a Fass regulator in my 04 Fummins. I'm also running the timing spacer , THD fuel pin and 3200 spring. I can`t really say how the spacer is doing because I did all three at the same time . I think my truck runs pretty good for an auto trans F350 crew cab 4x4 but not as strong as my 97 P-pump truck.
