VE fuel pin quick question
can you pull the fuel pin out of the pump as you could with a Ppump? of course provided you seal the hole in the diaphram with a small bolt after.

I assume the "fuel pin" in the p-pumps you mentioned is actually the fuel plate. However, it's an entirely different AFC than the VE. How would the AFC pin move back with no ramp from the fuel pin to force it? I think you'd run the risk of pushing the pin out of the bushing. Thus, causing pressurized fuel from inside the case to spray out of the vent tube or even bleed past the diaphragm and seep from the AFC cover. I don't think it'd be a good idea to remove the fuel pin.
As Luke mentioned about grinding if the AFC lever's "foot," you'd be better of doing that or removing the lever entirely.

yes I didn't say plate in the p7100, but of course know it is. I've zero cut the one in my '95 and have removed it on occasion. which is why I was wondering about the VE and the pin. but I understand now the fuel situation behind the pin. thanks guys.
