valve adjusting a little

I've read that people have adjusted the valves a little tight, 18 and 8. Does it help? Just curious.

I ran mine 8/18 for probably 3K before my accident, towing, town, highway, long periods, short periods, plenty of foot to floor driving, n some granny driving. I never had a problem.

PS~ G1625S is a very close friend of mine, n lives maybe 5 miles from me, and so far hes had no issues to date, n he does a lot driving.
