Ulsf?

The filling station/conveneince store that I use has finally gone to 15ppm sulfur fuel. I kept the engine running while filling the truck up last evening and thought I heard a slight change in engine noise while I was pumping. Guess I am a little paranoid. But on the way home I got real paranoid when the throttle started sticking. She wouldn't idle below 30 mph. I just knew it was that new fuel causing swollen seals. Well, the bushings on the throttle linkage had gotten dry and were causing a little drag. So far I haven't noticed any real differences other than a generous helping of Lucas when I fill up. Just maybe a little less energy in the fuel, but I think that I am looking for trouble because I don't like the changes our government is forcing on me. WHy can't those Washington pencil necks leave us old *arts alone?

How about we wait and see if the pumps are damaged first?

That would be a very good idea. So far I haven't seen or heard of any directly related problems. All my problems are a by product of an over achieving imagination. I haven't noticed any change while driving to work etc. The engine runs smooth as always, and it goes when I want too. My biggest complaint is the price. Gas has dropped below a dollar a gallon but diesel still hangs around $2.40 and it has stayed there for the last several weeks.

Read a article in the Diesel Power last week about the ULSD. The fuel is made and has less lubricity the oil companys are required to add an additive to make them compatible to our far superior vehicles. You will notice a decrease in MPG and total power. Jethrro

That doesn't seem fair that you would have to pay more for fuel when you have it refined in or real close to your back yard. Add all the tax up and we pay about 36.9 cents a gallon for the priviledge of being able to go to work.
