Turned my truck up.

I followed the directions posted here on the site. Smoke screw 2 turns cw, AFC diaphragm turned cw 120 degrees, power adjustment screw in 2 turns. The start wheel I only turned cw about a half inch. I am thinking I need to turn it some more. Drivability is 10 times better. EGT's top out around 875-900, I do have 4" exhaust from the turbo back, no muffler. Boost increased from 14psi max to 22psi max, lots more boost at part throttle. The truck isnt really smoking at all, not at idle, part or full throttle. Normal?

Sounds like you can crank 'er up some more. Pull the AFC cone out again and make sure you have the deepest side forward. The star wheel is not a real sensitive adjustment, you need to make at least two turns to notice the effects.

It should never smoke at idle. A puff of smoke when you lay into the accelerator is fine, and a gray haze out the the pipe at full power is good.

Quick question!
How sensative is the smoke screw with no other pump adjustments?
Thanks!

Who has no other pump adjutments? Seriously, with a stock pump, you'll likely notice a difference with about 1 full turn.

I turned my smoke screw all the way down, removing the jam nut. It is some noticeable power for sure, but thats all that done to the truck....so its still slooow. but definitely faster than before.

So I did what you said, the star wheel would go no further then a hair less then a full turn? It seemed to bottom out?

Mine was like that too; pretty close to bottomed out from the factory.

Wow, that is low. Is the pyro probe post turbo or pre turbo?

Pre turbo. I do still have the 21cm housing, and as mentioned earlier a 4" exhaust from the turbo back. I really am in need of a 16cm housing and tighter converter. They are next on the list.
