I got a BD cooldown timer on mine and love it. It is definately nice walking away from your truck thats locked and still idling to cool down that it'll shut off on its own when its cool, and if any problem happens it will automatically shut down in 5 minutes or as soon as you hit the brake pedal so no one could steal it. Definately improve turbo life, so the timer just seems like cheap insurance to me.

My 2 cts are that if you tow a lot - like everyday your miles are put to heavy work - then it is worth it, because you walk out while your truck is idling down to cool without you waiting in the cab, waiting. But for very occasional application, I don't see the point IF you have to pay for it. If it's free, then you can do whatever you want, right?
