Which turbo should I use?

So my main question is which turbo should I use but first I'll give a little background info to help you help me.
I have a 1991.5 Dodge Cummins (intercooled) W250 standard cab longbox with a getrag 5 speed behind it. I bought it off of a guy whose stepfather ran into a telephone pole with it. It needed/needs front end work so this gave me the opportunity to make a few changes. The parts I have so far is a 7.3 powerstroke intercooler, 3in intercooler pipes, a 2nd Gen intake horn, and a 4in turbo back exhaust. I still need to put in a 3200 rpm spring, I might turn the fuel screw up and swiss cheese the intake box or put on a different intake pipe. Other than what I have listed, the engine is bone stock and has been since day one. Also the truck is stock too, original size tires and 3.54 gears.

Now getting back to the whole turbo question, the turbo on there now is leaking oil big time, It's a stock HC1. I have been reading forums left and right and watching videos but nothing has quite answered my question.

What would be better to do? Buy a new turbo cartridge for the HC1 (or just buy a whole new HC1) OR should I get a HX35. I have been reading about people swapping these into their 12v. From what I have read, the better housing is between 12 and 16cm/2.

If the HX35 is a better option, what are all the parts that I would need to make that work and where can I find everything?

I apologize for such a long post but I'm still learning about all this stuff,

Thanks!

Find an HX35, then get a rebuild kit and a 60mm compressor upgrade. That will cover you for a while until you start going to very large injectors. All you need to do to install the HX is slide your exhaust back a little.

I was looking at some of these and they all say they have A4" exhaust. I have an exhaust brake do they make a small enough adapter to fit or will I have to look at a different turbo?
