Transmission question
I have a 92 2 wheel transmission automatic can I swap the overdrive tail section over to a 4 Wheel Drive I read some information on here before now I cannot find it

You can swap them but you need to make sure it's an RH as the RE won't have a governor. Additionally you will need the diesel governor. The diesel O/D also has heavier duty planetaries and more discs. If you have a gasser O/D unit just use the output shaft and housing from it and swap all the other stuff from your diesel 2WD unit.

You can just unbolt the O/D unit and take it off. The parking pawl rod is the only PITA. It has to have the pawl fully engaged in order for the rod to slip past it.
After that you are going to need a press of some sort to get the direct clutch discs out to continue to disassemble it to change the output shaft. You might want to consider just taking both units to a transmission shop and having them swap out the components.

This truck has some sort of aftermarket transmission cooler under the bed on the driver side do you happen to know anything about them

There were factory add on coolers like that back in the day. It's a good option to have, I believe it was called the super cooler. I don't recall ever installing any of them.

I had forgot this truck had one on in did not know if it was a good thing or waste of time I’m getting to know this truck I decided last night that converte to 4x4 I don’t think I’m doing bad Im about 6 hours in on a frame swap just got to button up some lose ends and do the transmission
