Anyone live near middle TN and want to come down to walk me through an auto tranny rebuild... I would really love to learn this but don't have the guts to got at it myself. It's an a518 out of a 4x4.

Too bad your not closer, I have a 47RH I'm getting ready to put back together. I'd have you bring the whole mess over and go through the whole thing.

 

these are the folks i use they have some great A.T.S.G. manuals with pictures and descriptions of whats going on. i only do our own work here on the farm so my last auto was a 700r4 od tran. last summer. hope i am not stepping on toes here is the web site. i just bought parts from them and a great rebuild kit also add mild shift kit from transgo been using those folks since the seventies. http://www.txchange.com/main.htm should be someone in your neck of the woods that is an equal .

 

I too am in need of a tranny rebuild,but mine works fine except it slips in reverse. Anyone know of a good shop in Ontario who knows the 518 inside and out?

 

I am looking for a parts supplier/parts list for a getrag 360 transmission. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
