tractor trailer shift knobs
tractor trailer shift *****
ive seen it done on two trucks now, and was wondering if any of yous have done this. put a tractor trailer shift **** on your truck. and if you did does it how did you do it? does it bolt right on?
I drive Peterbilts and I dont see how it could be done. The shift **** has two additional levers to control the splitter and for lo-lo. Plus the ones we have are 4 speeds, so that wouldn't match up either.
What is the point?

any shift *** you find will fit on your pickup, cut the stick off, find a bolt that your *** screws into and weld it to the stick, and if your really good, find a nut to us as a jam nut.
my plan is to run my exhaust brake with a the splitter off an eaton fuller, some have one split, some have 2, shoot if im correct im pretty sure there are 3 speeds and 4 speeds, 9,10,13,18, and 15 speeds and **** with hurst, bd, on them, i could see it workin if you put some kind of micro switch in there instead of an air valve. it seems like you guys are to caught up in your own opinion that you cant even answer someones question.

bad93, I put a chrome Road Ranger **** on my '96 and it doesn't just screw on. Most all tractor/truck ***** are threaded 1/2 NC while the NV4500 had a smaller thread. I used a bunch of tape to make up the difference and it worked OK. The chrome **** would sure get cold sitting in front of the A/C vent.
Beny, the Eaton **** is air operated not electric. How would you activate the exhaust brake with little air lines. You need a electric red **** rear end splitter that mounts below the shifter to activate the brake. This picture of my '68 Power Wagon with a 10 speed shows what I'm talking about.

"Beny" belives you

Don't let them fool you, they fit first gens, and the 4X4 shifter. I know the 4X4 i a different thread, it comes with adaptors. I have a red one on my regular shifter. Need to get another one. They have a white one with a "Cummins Bee" on it too. I should've gotten that one. I know these aren't tractor trailer shift *****, but I think they look cooler. That's just my opinion though. To each his own!
