TPS dissasembly??
TPS dissasembly??
I did the p/meter mod and love it, but now am selling my truck, and short of another DTRonian, I don't imagine any other buyer thinking that is a good thing to have in the cab. Naturally, I don't have $200 laying around either.
Saturday I sprayed contact cleaner in it and worked it back and forth, but it didn't work when I put it back on.
On the bottom of the TPS there is a ring that circles the part that is turned by the shaft. In that ring are two small pockets which a pair of snap ring pliers (with small pins) will fit into. It gives the impression that the ring will unscrew with the appropriate amount of torque applied. I surely don't want to open it and have parts shoot out everywhere, but I'm also at that point where I have little to lose by trying this.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions,
Mike
