Towing injectors.

Okay so i need to pull my sdx 5x16 injectors. Days of smoking and playing with all the power is over. This year were going to be running a horse show with the trailer every weekend instead of once a month and my egts are not pleasant. I put a reman stock pump back on it. Not turned up or anything. Horse trailer loaded is around 12k i have a denny t stage one. I need some injectors to keep egts in check. Only worthy towing injectors that i know of are bosch 190s. Looking for opinions. Thank you all

You may want to consider a 6 or 7 hole nozzle in a lower cross sectional area than your current 5X.016s for towing. They will run cooler and give you better power on the lower end. I would also recommend replacing the Denny T with an M&H M2.

Trade ya the 5x16's for some pods ?

Cougar... Is there any company or hole size on the 6 or 7 holes that you would recommend? Ive only ever had pretty big injectors. No in between. Itd be nice to have 200 to 220 hp and still be able to tow!! Sure will miss the 350s i ran a year back or so :(

Greed... I used to run pods. They ran just as hot if not even hotter than my current and they sure sucked down more fuel while just cruising. I even sent them away three times to have a local company revamp them and i ended up with decent egts problem was i now had a 750 dollar set of pods. So i called SDX and tossed the PODS to never be seen again

I got mine from Diesel Auto Power. There is another company out there but I cant think of them off hand. They may not advertize them on their web site so you will have to ask. And yes, you can get them in the correct spray angle.

190's seem to have the best reputation for towing with the wide spray angle to help with EGT's and their small cross section. I've read more bad than good about any 7 holes.

It looks like ill try the 190s. Seems as theyre in the 400 to 500 dollar range so it wont be a huge loss if i dislike them and have to get rid of them.

Now another question. Does anyone know where i can get a true set of bosch 19s0. Seems like most companies try to make a "compareable" injector thats not a true 190. For about 100 bucks more than i remember seeing 190s a while back. Too bad i dont remember where i seen the boschs though. And thank you guys for your opinions and help!!

When shops first started playing with them they were using "off the shelf" nozzles with the wrong spray angle. The ones now are as good as any other out there. Just not popular with the road racer crowd.
