Tow Mirror Hardware
Had a few questions in regards to the A-frame style tow mirrors. The hardware on mine looks like 26 year old hardware. Before I go yanking it off to replace with new SS bolts, I wanted to make sure that the "nuts" inside the door are captured. I can tear the door panels off, just would rather know upfront that they need removed. Also not as big a deal but it looks like 1/4-20 bolts to the door and 1/2-13 actually securing the mirror to the frame.

I can't speak for '93, but my '84 used nutserts... and the bolts were seized so the nutserts broke free and spun in the door. Ended up cutting the bolts.
I installed tow mirrors on my '93 and got inside the door to simply nut & bolt them on. |
