Torque converter slip @ 70 MPH

Hey guys I am curious what RPMS your running @ 70 MPH
My truck 4x4 is doing 70MPH @ 2300 RPMs....... on the flat.

My dads truck 93 2wd CC does 70 MPH @ 1950 RPMs..... on the flat.
As far as I know his truck does not have a lock up TQ. Build date of 11/92

They both have 3.54 gear ratios. Both in overdrive.

I think my TQ is toast, or did Dodge tighten up the TQ for 93?

I'd say yours is a tad loose. I know a guy with a 93 W350 that says his is tighter than most stock convertors, so it may have been a 93 thing. Maybe his transmission got set up a little differently due to the factory 3.07s in it. Who knows.

Mine's at 1800-1850 at 70mph indicated on the speedometer, which is actually more like 66mph.

The stiff DTT torque converter makes a difference.
