Tire size
What is the largest width tire which fits under the fenders of our 1st generation Dodges without a lift. I have a chance to pickup some good used tires but I don't want to rub the fenders on a turn with too wide of a tire.

well if your truck is 4x4 you need to change your sig to w250 not d250.
back to the point i had 35" baha claws on mine but would rub on hard bumps. i would think a 285/75/16 would fit without rubbing though |
ya im going with some bfg all-terrians KO a 285/75/17 load range

oops 285/75/16?? i think, but they are some good looknig tires!!
|
I put 285/75/16 on mine they rubbed on the fender trim front and back of front fender put add-aleafs in the front fixed and leveled the truck
|
The 285/75-16's rub the front part of the front wheelwell trim on my truck.

Thanks for the information. I think I will stick with 265/85 X 16 on stock rims for maximum size to avoid rubbing the fenders. I will change my sig to w250

NAaaaah! Go with the 285's. It seems as though most of the single cab W250 first gens will swing em. I clear them on mine and its an extended cab. I like the look of them too. If all else fails level it up, that'll sweeten it up as well.

I'm running the 285's with a 2 1/2 lift on the front. With the stock leafs (sagged a little) they would rub the drop pitman arm when I went hard right. Now they are fine.
