You would lose a lot of power. And by that time it would use more fuel getting your truck up to speed. If you want to try it out just back out the fuel screw. It would be like doing the same thing.

I`m no expert but... seeing as how a diesel is throttled by fuel quantity not air (like a gasser) injector sizing has alot less of an impact on mpg`s. You could have showerheads installed and as long as you don`t call for the HP the pump won`t supply it. It`s the reason diesels get such good milage as it is, the ability to run a 100to1 A/F ratio. As far as the WMO, I think you might have to be your own R&D lab to figure it out, personally if I was going to put WMO in my truck I would filter it alot finer than a coffee filter.

There's a "Cummins approved" amount of WMO that you can use. Personally I don't want to do. My truck stinks enough as it is!

Your right foot is the best fuel saving device.

I doubt you could even get close to 20mpg. The best I could do with 6x16's was like 17mpg.

Auto or stick?

I get 20MPG with POD's and the fuel screw all the way in, but I have to drive it carefully and coast down long hills.

My last tank was 17.4, that's mostly highway at 70+ mph. If you drove 55 all the time you could probably squeak 20 mpg out of it but it wouldn't be any fun at all.

If you want to detune the truck, don't buy it. With twins it will not be a good driver with small injectors. Buy a truck that's closer to stock if you want high mpg. A D250 is the best way to go if you want fuel economy.
