Timing & NOS

I am going to bump my timing to the head because now I have 6x16 Injectors. I have a Dyno and pull event coming up in three weeks and would like to get the most power out of it. Is this going to be too much timing for a .50 jet or around a 90 horse jet.

It has a II SPS turbo so that just about burns up most of my fuel so I can't put that big of a jet on it.

Any ideas on what this may dyno?

On NOS the rule has always been less timing, not more.

so stock timing may be my best bet if i run the Nos dynoing and no NOS for pulling? I don't have time to bump the timing in between these.

I'd say you'd be fine with a .050 jet, not much nitrous. I'm going to try stock timing with nitrous, but I have the crappy 89 headgasket and I'm going to be running a -6 to a -4 line with no jet

I have running the truck with NOS for over a year and it does good with stock timing. Just looking for more. The 66 turbo burns up most of my fuel so i am limited to a small jet.

If you're willing to break stuff, then go nuts. If memory serves, Tom Collins runs something like: Timing bumped to head, 70% meth, and lots of nitrous and it's still somehow surviving at c. 700 flywheel hp.

The injectors need the timing.

I guess a 1/8 timing bump would be a good start then maybe.

I will do it. It will be after June 6th. Just took the AFC lever out this afternoon. Hope it will do some decent numbers on the dyno. Smokin 09 pull is going to be some tough comp for the 1st Gen.
