I need the short rod that goes on the injection, as this one on ebay:

Is this the same rod as listed in the sticky:

Throttle Linkage Rod & Ends
Cummins part# 4089076. This includes the rod, the 2 nuts, 2 steel ends and the new ball that the one snaps on. Price was $21.82.

Just want to be sure when I go to the dealer to order one. Is 4089076 the current number?

Yep, that's the piece you need.

I don't know if the number is current, but even if it's been superseded they can still use it to find the new number.
