temp probe leads
temp probe leads
Can I lengthen the leads from an Isspro transmission temp probe to the module without affecting calibration? This is an electronic gauge with an electronic module located about 3' from the temp sensor.
I can buy another lead that lengthens the run between the module and the gauge but that won't help get the module into the truck cab. I prefer to have the plastic module inside the truck for moisture reasons and it is just a bit too short unless I drill a hole through the floor, which I prefer not to.

I have an Isspro pyrometer as well as Isspro tach, trans temp, boost and needed to lengthen my wires too. I called Isspro and they told me the same as John Faughn just said.....No problem.......Mine works fine with lengthened wires
Just to be clear.... No problem with electric gauges. Pyrometers are a different matter.
The manufactures will tell you not to cut or modify the wire, due to the fact you are likely to introduce a cold junction since you will not be using the correct terminals. With proper connectors...no problem here either.
