Temp. Gage

Where would you install a mechanical heat gage on the ctd?? Can a mechanical gage be installed and still keep the electric gage?? I saw a couple places. I have the thermostat housing off right now and see a couple places in this area....one above the thermostat and one below, more on the block... will they work?

The one above the thermostat works well. That is where I plumbed the sender for my electric gauge but a mech. would work there as well and the factory one would still be left in place and operational. Just remember that they need to be installed in the coolant flow not on a "T" or something where the coolant dosent flow or they will be inaccurate.

In the head towards the back IIRC. The bigger one is for the KSB. (I think...)
