Josh, thanks for the info. Now for the next question, can a set of 155 degree tips run clean in an intercooled engine? If so how high would I need to shim? I have an injector that is stubborn in the morning and doesn't want to wake up with the rest of the family. It is a smoker until things warm up a little. Since I don't have a spare set I am forced to purchase a new set or take the truck off the road at the busiest time of year for me. Being that I need to replace injectors I am willing to bump up performance to the next level. Say, 400 hundred horsepower. There is a used set of 370's for a first gen. available with a 155 degree spray pattern.

Yes they can but its not entirely ideal. You'll want to run the thinnest injector washers (0.020) and keep your timing fairly tame to keep the pattern in the bowl.

370's are not the worst choice if the pop pressures are set correctly. pods are supposedly 160* and the pop pressures are closer to ppump pressures than VE and look at all of the people who run those things.

just like jayers said, keep the injectors near the bowl and keep your timing fairly mild and you will be fine.
